Considered to have been the birthplace of Paris in the 3rd century B.C, this is the island where the Kings of France lived for centuries. It houses masterpieces of gothic architecture which your guide will point out to you: Notre-Dame cathedral (including an inside visit) and the Sainte Chapelle. Strolling about the streets of the island will take you through the flower market to the Conciergerie (the fortress where Marie-Antoinette was imprisoned) and to the Pont-Neuf (New Bridge) the oldest one in Paris! At the heart of the city, this island is a must-see area.
